Real-Time Tactical Medic Backpack | Hero Prop
The base model was created in Maya, followed by sculpting fabric details in Mudbox. After the high poly phase, the asset was brought back into
Maya for retopology and UV creation. Baking and texturing were completed in Substance 3D Painter,
and the low poly version was later optimized in Maya for real-time use.
Final renders were created in Maya, while Unreal Engine 5 was used for the in-engine presentation shots.
The high poly version contains approximately 165k triangles, while the optimized low poly version is around 59k triangles.
The asset uses two 4K material sets, with a texel density of approximately 26 px/cm across both the high and low poly versions.
Most of the references used for this project were focused on the backpack structure, tactical camping equipment, and defibrillator devices.
Software Used: Autodesk Maya, Mudbox, Substance 3D Painter, Unreal Engine 5.
